The Steeple Mobile + Alabama Contemporary Art Wedding - Liza + Jeffrey

Liza + Jeffrey Boudreau! Where to start on how amazing this day was? I could start with the incredible details. Mobile wedding planner Laura Hails and her team from Noble Events completely knocked it out of the park with the attention to detail that made the day unique to these high school sweethearts. The idea was to incorporate all things Mobile, Alabama and Liza+Jeffrey. The “Seafood Jubilee” representing the elusive eastern shore jubilees, the late night “Chrissy’s” and beignet fries, the local beer from Huntsville where the couple lives, the custom tattoos… it was an endless display of personal touches and I couldn’t get enough of photographing it all.

But I could also start with the scene. From the intimate ceremony at The Steeple on St Francis, to the lively reception at The Alabama Contemporary Art Center, there was so much to enjoy. The views from the reception brought the greenery and the city lights of downtown Mobile inside. The terrace was the perfect scene for the hand-rolled cigar station and leather lounge chairs overlooking the couple’s initials that were brightly displayed on the brick wall nearby.

But where I really want to start is with the Bride and Groom! Over lunch at El Papi, they expressed how much they wanted authentic, real wedding photography. They wanted the moments captured in a genuine way, and we became instant soul mates. I was overTHEmoon to do what I love most on a wedding day. Yes we got the family formals and a few posed shots, but my favorite thing is just documenting the story of the day and being able to show my clients all kinds of things they didn’t see happening. I love sending them a gallery that is full of raw emotion and tells the story that they can re-live over and over again. Liza and Jeffrey made it too easy and too fun. They are so in love. So happy to just be together. They each mentioned in their vows how they feel most like themselves around the other person. And that just made me overjoyed to see them committing to each other for life, safe with each other always. What a beautiful thing.
